1. The
Repair Book, the Incidence Book and Round Book are reviewed periodically for
effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive action
2. The
staff members are monitored closely for any symptoms of sickness. In such
event, they are treated suitably and are kept away from work place if required.
3. Personnel
attributes like hand washing techniques, cleanliness and levels of service
standards are monitored continuously.
4. The
down time of equipment is monitored periodically and if any specific equipment
needs frequent servicing the same is replaced or refurbished.
5. There
exist a procedure to handle break down of equipment and the same is detailed

The
above program is a continuous process and reviewed and updated annually.
Whenever Medical Director visits Medical trade exhibition, attends ophthalmic
conference or visits other ophthalmic Units, he finds out if any new practice
can be incorporated at ...........Hospital. Necessary training or buying new equipment is a
part of this activity.
Whenever
a new machine is introduced or new practices are developed nationally or
internationally, efforts are made to implement them in the existing set up with
whatever modifications required. Funds
are sanctioned for such projects.
